Easy 2-Ingredients Home Made Teething Biscuits

Ok, I’ll admit. It’s not really biscuits, but more like rusks. But hey, at least they serve the same purpose and it is honestly very simple and easy to make! Moreover, this recipe is also very cheap, and tastes a lot better than the regular commercial ones you buy at a convenience store.

Many parents feel that they want to start introducing simple foods and ingredients for their teething baby; hence they might consider commercial teething biscuits do not fit their preference. Making your own homemade teething biscuits might sounds nice, but not everyone is that into cooking or has the time to do so.

Here’s what you need:

– 1 cup of cooked sweet potato puree

– Approx. 2 cups of spelt flour

How to make the super easy and healthy rusk for your teething baby:

  1. First you need to prepare your oven. Preheat oven to 140 C
  2. Now take a mixing bowl and combine the sweet potato puree with the prepared spelt flour. Remember to add the flour gradually, and mix them together until you get a stiff dough
  3. Now knead the dough until it is smooth. Do it patiently. TIP: use a floured board
  4. Now roll the dough, your target is about 1cm high.
  5. After the dough is ready, cut them with a sharp knife into fingers or other shapes that you’d like.
  6. Now all that’s left is to bake the rusk teething biscuits until they are hard on the outside.
  7. You can keep the rest of the biscuits in a fridge.

It takes practice, but keep trying! When you get all the ingredients right, you will have a really tastier (and healthier) teething biscuits!
